Competition Guidelines

Thes Guidelines contain the most current description of how competitions are conducted in the Coachella Valley Desert Camera Club.
They include schedules, competition categories, how awards are made, and the rules under which comeptitions are judged and conducted.
All members planning to submit entries into competition are advised to become familiar with these Guidelines. Entries that do not conform are likely to be disqualified from comeptition.
Each section can be seperately printed out.

Overview
CVDCC normally holds image competitions at regular Club meetings during the Club year. On competition months, images may be entered into different competition Categories (such as Nature, Travel etc). Images in different formats (such as print, slide, or digital) are entered into separate Divisions. Entries must conform with Club Requirements and are entered in two different Skill Levels (Intermediate and Advanced). Judging is mostly performed by qualified non-members (although there is occasional member judging) who judge according to pre-defined Judging Standards. Awards are issued at each competition, and there are also Annual Awards announced at the Annual Banquet.

ALL DIGITAL ENTRIES AND PRINT TITLES MUST BE PRE-ENTERED 3 DAYS BEFORE
ENTRIES THAT DO NOT CONFORM TO THE GUIDELINES
ARE LIKELY TO BE DISQUALIFIED FROM COMPETITION!
