The Desert Camera Club normally holds competitions at about half the regular Meetings during the Club year. Click here for the latest competition schedule.

Each "competition month" there are competitions held in different Categories selected from among: Nature, Photo Travel, Photojournalism, Monochrome, and Open. In addition, there is a Creative category (with a pre-defined subject). At the December Competition, there may be a special Recycle Bin category that considers entries from a single (per member) print entered during the year that did not receive an award. The Creative, Open, Nature, Monochrome and Photo Travel categories are held every “competition month”; as is the Photojournalism category, except that the Photojournalism category alternates between Photojournalism-General and Photojournalism-Human Interest on a rotating schedule.
