Each member entering a competition is assigned to a Skill Level, Intermediate or Advanced, reflecting his/her current actual or assumed proficiency. Competition Awards (see Sections 6.2 and 6.3) are made for each Skill Level separately according to different criteria, although the actual judging process is combined for purposes of scoring each image entry. New members are initially assigned to the Intermediate Skill Level (click here for criteria for advancement).
